Move-In/Move-Out Cleaning Checklist:

  • General Areas:
    • Dust and wipe all surfaces, including baseboards, doors, and trim
    • Remove cobwebs from ceilings and corners
    • Clean windows, sills, blinds, and tracks
    • Vacuum and mop floors, paying special attention to corners and edges
    • Sanitize high-touch areas like light switches, doorknobs, and railings
    • Remove scuff marks from walls (spot cleaning)
  • Kitchen:
    • Clean and disinfect countertops, sinks, and faucets
    • Wipe down and clean the inside and outside of cabinets and drawers
    • Scrub stovetop, range hood, and backsplash
    • Clean oven and microwave (inside and out)
    • Clean refrigerator, including shelves, drawers, and exterior
    • Sweep and mop floors
  • Bathrooms:
    • Scrub and disinfect toilets, sinks, tubs, and showers
    • Clean and sanitize inside and outside of cabinets and drawers
    • Remove soap scum and hard water stains from tiles and fixtures
    • Polish mirrors and chrome fixtures
    • Sweep and mop floors
  • Bedrooms:
    • Dust and wipe all surfaces, including furniture, shelves, and closets
    • Vacuum or mop floors, including under furniture (if accessible)
    • Clean windows, blinds, and window sills
  • Living and Dining Areas:
    • Dust and wipe all furniture, shelves, and decor
    • Vacuum upholstery and spot-clean fabric furniture
    • Clean windows, mirrors, and light fixtures
    • Vacuum or mop floors
